Tube-Buffered Direct Injection Box:
The AMB
Tube-Buffered D.I. Box extracts all the musical details of musical
interfaces without degrading the sound. This can only be achieved by
providing a very high input impedance to avoid any loading of the
instrument pickups. A vacuum tube input stage achieves this high input
impedance, and handles very high input levels without any compromise in
sound quality. The outstanding Jensen JT-DB-E transformer provides a
low impedance, balanced and ground-isolated output that is ideal for
sending the signal to the mic preamp input of a console or, ideally,
the M-1 mic preamp. Manufactured by AMB/Acoustic Consulting, Germany.
Features:
• Extremely high input impedance avoids signal
degradation caused by excessive loading that is common in other designs.
• Buffered output jack allows for cable runs of 10
meters without losing high frequency information.
• Boost circuit increases signal sent to output
transformer by 15dB for use with low output instruments or for
distortion effects.
• Unity gain circuit feeds a low distortion unity
gain
signal to the output transformer providing the best possible sound
quality.
• Two ground lift switches, one for complete
isolation
of post DI equipment and the other separates DI audio and chassis
grounds.
• Road worthy construction, 2mm thick brushed
stainless
steel enclosure, 1.5mm thick end panels, internal parts mounted
securely.
